All Fire teams are formed by way of tryouts. Spring tryouts are held in late May or early June. Fire teams also conduct informal tryouts in August, where interested players are invited to train with the teams formed through the spring tryouts.
If a Fire team has an open roster spot, and if the state association's registration deadline for a particular season has not passed, Fire teams may allow interested players to tryout for the team by attending a training session.
