We love our dogs too, but they are not allowed on our fields or in the immediate vicinity. Pets are not allowed past the parking lots or the roads that border the field area. Smoking is restricted in the same area.
Information regarding field location and layout is available on the page(s) describing the fields, which is available in the toolbar on the left side of this page.
Under-5 through Under-8 teams will play their Spring 2010 games at the fields behind the Fort Sam Houston Youth Services Center. An interactive map showing the general location of the fields is available on the "U-5 to U-8 Fields" page, accessible on the toolbar on the left side of this page.
Under-9 and older teams will play at the game fields on the Fort Sam Houston parade ground. An interactive map showing the general location of the fields is available on the "U-9 to U-18 Fields" page, accessible on the toolbar on the left side of this page.
As of February, 2009, we have been informed by the Provost Marshal that any vehicle with valid inspection and license stickers will be permitted to enter Fort Sam Houston through any gate by presenting a valid driver's license (for the driver of the vehicle) and a valid photo identification for each adult in the vehicle and explaining that you are there for a soccer game or practice. If a guard is not aware of this new policy and you do not have an AHFSH vehicle pass, you may obtain a visitor's pass at either the gate on Walters Street (off of IH-35) or the gate on Harry Wurzbach.
ALL ADULT OCCUPANTS IN ANY VEHICLE ENTERING FORT SAM HOUSTON WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRESENT A PHOTO IDENTIFICATION (valid driver's license for the driver), regardless of which gate you enter through and the circumstances under which the vehicle is being permitted access to the post, e.g., AHFSH vehicle pass, military pass, visitors pass or otherwise. ADULTS WHO DO NOT HAVE A FORM OF PHOTO IDENTIFICATION TO PRESENT TO THE SECURITY GUARD WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ENTER FORT SAM HOUSTON.
Thanks to the efforts of members of Fort Sam Houston's Child and Youth Services, we now have additional training fields available to our teams on a first come, first served basis. These fields are located in the area of the old game fields near Stanley Road and N. New Braunfels Ave; for a link to an interactive map showing the area of the training areas, click HERE.
Parking for teams wishing to use the training fields should be restricted to the parking lots; cars parked on the streets may be ticketed by Military Police.
Fort Sam Houston prohibits drivers from talking on mobile phones on the post unless a hands-free unit is being used. Violators will be ticketed. Mobile phones can be used, of course, while vehicles are parked or while at the soccer fields.
