The Alamo Heights Fort Sam Houston (AHFSH) soccer league was begun in the late 1970's with a goal of providing the opportunity to play soccer to children within the Alamo Heights community and Fort Sam Houston military dependents. In the mid 1980's private schools were invited to join the league, and the league began fielding teams comprised of children from throughout the San Antonio area. AHFSH has always welcomed teams who needed a viable, active league in order for their children to play.
The emphasis of the AHFSH is to focus on developing individual soccer skills, positive attitudes towards soccer and athletics in general, and good sportsmanship. Our goal is to provide a league where children have fun. Every decision that we make, whether for safety or competition or anything else, is done keeping fun for children as our number one priority. We seek to develop and encourage boys and girls who have competitive talents without sacrificing our primary purpose of teaching a love for the game of soccer in a way that is fun for players.
Alamo Heights Fort Sam Houston Youth Soccer (AHFSH) is a youth soccer club committed to good sportsmanship and quality of play for our children. AHFSH will enforce a code of conduct for all players, coaches, parents, spectators and referees. AHFSH has a policy of zero tolerance for behaviors, comments and actions that endanger or threaten the environment or good sportsmanship and safe play for all soccer participants.
This includes but is not limited to the following:
Offenses may lead to removal from the premises and a ban from all AHFSH activities for the remainder of the season and/or permanently.
GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP AND BEHAVIOR IS EXPECTED AT ALL AHFSH PRACTICES, GAMES, CAMPS, CLINICS AND TOURNAMENTS.
